Environment
Our nature sanctuary on the Heidelberg farm hosts the widest collection of waterfowl in South Africa and is also home to 10 species of antelope. Our wetland plays a vital role in the farm’s management and acts as a natural bio-filtration system. It allows us to preserve a valuable part of our rich heritage and to address environmental concerns naturally.
We are in full compliance with the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards and are audited every year. Our dedicated ISO department and professional consultants ensure Karan Beef’s legal compliance.
We place great value on animal welfare and are affiliated to (WESSA) and several other environmental forums to provide sustainable beef products.
