The Karan Beef cycling team has secured another podium placement at the recent Gauteng Road Cycling Championships.
Our elite female road cyclist from Craighall in Johannesburg, Parys Edwards, won the time trial and raced her way to an overall second place.
The 128km race took place in Brakpan on the East Rand, and Edwards described it as a close sprint to the finish between the elite women’s cyclists. Speaking about her new team, Edwards said she hoped to attract young racers to join and to help grow and nurture them while increasing the team’s overall performance.
Team Karan Beef consists of 21 cyclists and their main focus is to have fun, grow and promote the sport to sponsors.
