    Cattle Section Manager

    Karan Beef Farming (PTY) LTD is looking for experienced Cattle Section Managers at our feedlots in Heidelberg and Nigel, Gauteng.

    • Are you 35 years or older?
    • Are you currently working at a cattle feedlot and do you have the necessary experience?
    Requirements:
    • Grade 12 or any tertiary qualification in animal production, animal health etc
    • Minimum of 4 years experience at a cattle feedlot
    • Must have excellent people skills and management skills
    • Must be willing to work weekends, public holidays and night shift
    • Own vehicle and a valid driver's licence

    Internal Auditor

    Karan Beef has the following vacancy at our City Deep branch - Internal Auditor

    The successful candidate will be a motivated individual, with strong analytical skills and meet the following requirements:

    Requirements:
    • B.Com (Internal Audit or Accounting) Degree
    • Membership with IIA
    • CIA – Certified Internal Auditor – must requirement
    • 4-6 years Internal audit experience (FMCG or Agriculture would be advantageous)
    • Thorough understanding of best practice in internal audit, finance and operations and risk management
    • Strong knowledge of the IIA Standards, COSO framework, and internal control best practice
    • Strong project management and multi-task skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans
    • Ability to engage at various levels within the organisation
    • Attention to detail and good analytical skills
    • Deadline driven
    • Ability to influence others
    • Resilience and agility
    • Advanced computer skills (MS Office). A working knowledge of Business Central would be an added advantage
    • Must have own car, valid driver’s licence and be able to travel within the group
    Duties include but will not be limited to:
    • To plan and execute engagements in accordance with the IIA standards and annual audit plan
    • Conduct process walkthroughs to understand business processes, identify key risks
    • Develop comprehensive audit programs and perform audit testing in line with IIA standards and internal methodology
    • Evaluate and advise on adequacy and effectiveness of controls and governance processes to ensure alignment with company objectives
    • Prepare audit reports with findings and practical, cost-effective recommendations ensuring operational efficiencies and risk mitigation
    • Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s implementation of agreed action plans
    • Review compliance with company policies procedures, and applicable regulations
    • Ensure audit assignments are delivered within scope, timelines, and quality expectations
    • Provide independent objective assurance and consulting services to the business ensuring quality and continuous improvement of the control environment and processes
    • Plan and execute special reviews as required by management
    • Administrative and Ad hoc duties

    Junior Cattleman Nigel

    Karan Beef farming (pty) ltd located in Nigel, Gauteng has the following vacancy available - Junior Cattleman Nigel

    The successful candidate will a young individual, energetic, hands-on individual and will be in possession of the following:

    Requirements:
    • Matric Grade 12
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on a farm with cattle
    • Knowledge of cattle backgrounding to your advantage
    • Computer literate
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Willingness to learn
    • Willing to work in a team
    • Must be able to speak English and Afrikaans
    • Must be prepared to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays.
    • Valid driver’s license
    Duties include but are not limited to:
    • Daily checks on backgrounding regards to the health and production of cattle
    • Following the feeding program
    • Prepare calves for feedlot placement
    • Compliance with the OHS regulations

    Stores Administrator

    Karan Beef Farming (PTY) LTD has the following vacancy at the feedlot in Heidelberg - Stores Administrator - Electrical Department

    The successful candidate will be a well-experienced, accurate and administratively strong individual and will be in possession of the following:

    Requirements:
    • Matric – Grade 12 (Tertiary qualification – inventory control, Planned Maintenance etc) will be to your advantage
    • Min of 3 years’ experience working in an electrical parts store
    • Computer Literate
    • Basic to advanced knowledge of Excel
    • Conversant in both English and Afrikaans
    • Self-starter
    • Strong numeracy skills, accuracy and attention to detail is paramount.
    • Must be prepared to work under pressure.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Own vehicle
    Duties include but are not limited to:
    • Implement maintenance strategies and procedures
    • Utilize tools
    • Develop preventative maintenance routine findings
    • Capture job cards
    • Analyse root cause failures
    • Inventory control
    • Compile periodic reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually)
    • Coordinate the drawing of detailed maintenance tasks per asset
    • Maintain bill of materials information
    • Develop planned work schedules
    • Estimate labour hours
    • Review work order feedback
    • Identify and develop standard work routines
    • Assist storeman
    • Adhere to the health and safety in the department
    • Assist in any Ad hoc requirements
