    ELECTRICAL WORKSHOP ASSISTANT

    The successful candidate will be a motivated individual and will be in possession of the following:

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • N2 Engineering Studies certificate
    • At least 5 years electrical and mechanical experience (experience at feed mills will be to your advantage)
    • Experience in electrical and machinery safety regulations will be to your advantage
    • Conversant in English and Afrikaans
    • Dependable/reliable individual
    • Detail orientated
    • Must be pro-active
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Must be able to do administrative duties
    • Must be able to solve problems and to work unsupervised
    • Must be able to work on weekends, overtime and on public holidays
    • Excellent health
    • Own Transport – valid driver’s licence

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Assist in keeping the workshop area clean and tidy in compliance with Health & Safety regulations
    • Test and maintain workshop equipment and see that all are in good working order
    • Arrange the storage of materials and equipment in the workshop
    • Ordering and stock control
    • Responsible for the security of workshop tools, equipment and materials used within the workshop area
    • Assist artisans with maintenance and breakdowns where required
    • Must be willing to assist with any other task in the department

    HR ADMINISTRATOR CO-ORDINATOR

    Karan Beef Feedlot has the following vacancy at our abattoir in Balfour

    HR ADMINISTRATOR CO-ORDINATOR

    The successful candidate will be a mature, detail orientated, self-disciplined, and motivated individual and will be in possession of the following.

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12 (Tertiary qualification to your advantage)
    • At least 8 years’ working experience in HR or admin
    • Conversant in both English & Afrikaans
    • High level of confidentiality
    • Must be computer literate
    • Deadline driven
    • Attention to detail - important
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Strong planning and organizing skills
    • Ability to manage personnel
    • Must be able to work under pressure

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Time & Attendance – capturing and maintaining clockings on Chronos system
    • Capture new staff - screening process, and various HR inputs on SAGE300 People – (terminations, dismissals, abscondence, bank details, personal info etc)
    • Capture and approve staff leave on ESS system
    • Employee benefits: Pension & Provident funds, Disabilities, death claims, funeral claims and withdrawal forms.
    • Reporting of IOD’s on the Compsol system
    • Dealing with daily HR related queries
    • Ordering medicine for the on-site clinic
    • Month end preparation – all relevant documents
    • Must make sure all HR Clerk’s work is up to date
    • Filing and general HR duties
    • Ad Hoc duties

    The successful candidate will be an experienced and motivated individual and will be in possession of the following:

    Requirements:

    • Millwright Trade Qualification
    • Conversant in English and Afrikaans
    • 3 Years working experience
    • Must be willing to work at our other branches
    • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
    • Good fault-finding skills
    • Batching will be an advantage
    • Dependable, Reliable, responsible, and fulfilling obligations
    • Integrity – Honest and ethical
    • Initiative – Take on responsibilities and challenges
    • Analytical thinking – Analysing information and using logic to address work related issues and problems
