Karan Beef and Pick 'n Pay have joined forces to bring to consumers there very special Lazy Aged Steaks, which are guaranteed for their tenderness and taste.
Allowed to age for 14 to 21 days under strict hygienic conditions at Karan Beef's HACCP approved Abattoir, these steaks are cut to a minimum of 25mm thickness. They are then packed into a special triple-layered vacuum pack bag that seals effectively to allow the steak to continue to age provided they are not frozen.
These special steaks, together with the selective range of top "A" Grade cuts which we manufacture exclusively for Pick 'n Pay, were showcased at the Good Food and Wine Show in Gauteng during October 2005.
